Style Inspiration::: Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains

So what's a girl to do when she's feelin' ill on a Saturday night? It was time to tackle the little red envelope sitting on my kitchen counter and finally get some use outta my Netflix account.

First up? Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains (whose shelf life in my queue was nearing a year). Watching this, I was suddenly transported from my sick bed to everything brilliant about cult rock-n-roll films and being young, tough, and punk before Hot Topic was a shopping mall cliché. 15 year-old Diane Lane (hello, perfection!) and Laura Dern (la-la-love her!) star in this film following the rise and fall of a young grrl-band called the Stains.

we woke up waaay too early one nippy november sunday morning for our first-ever shoot! we spent the morning running around to prep lighting/shooting schemes, breakfast, make-up station, and accessories tables. the gods were smiling on us! we got sun, two of the most gorgeous creatures DC has ever known, and hundreds and hundreds of shots to sift through.

Bring me Laura (played by the flawless Faye Dunaway), a fashion photographer who visualizes the murders happening around her before they actually occur. Tommy Lee Jones, you're nothing to sneeze at. Bring me Halston-like dresses (worn braless as the day you were born), tweeds, highheeled boots, berets, and a sexy career woman plagued with other-worldy images dancing through here head...and well, CRV sees inspiration--what else can we say?
